You May Be Thinking What Even Is Micellar Water?
Micellar water is composed of purified water, moisturizers such as glycerin, and some mild surfactants. These ingredients make it easy to break down and remove makeup, dirt, and oils from your skin. It’s commonly used as a cheaper alternative to removing makeup!
Which One Did You Try Out?
I purchased the Garnier Micellar Water, and it actually worked really well to my surprise as I was skeptical if it really worked. Now taking off a full face of makeup takes 5-10 minutes tops compared to before which was 15-20 minutes.
It also didn’t break me out, which was something I was worried about! I had a full face of makeup on and everything melted off. This product also didn’t leave my skin feeling dry, or irritated. It did get in my eyes though and it irritated them, so I’m cautious getting this product in my eyes now. I rinsed them with some cool water and it was fine after!
How Do You Remove Makeup With Micellar Water?
- Get a cotton pad and apply a generous amount of micellar on it.
- Start gently gliding the cotton pad across your face making sure to avoid the eyes. I’ll show you how to remove all the eye makeup off!
- Keep repeating this until all your face makeup is off. Pro tip: If there’s a lot of micellar water on your face and there’s only a little bit of makeup left use a dry cotton pad on your face. That’ll remove the makeup quicker.
- Now time for eye makeup! This is such a satisfying part, I love it! Remove any false lashes if you have them on right now. Grab your cotton pad and apply some of the product onto the pad.
- Gently hold the pad down against your eyes, and you can gently move the pad around too so it catches all the makeup.
- Keep gently holding down for around 30-45 seconds.
- When the thirty seconds is up gently glide the cotton pad of your eye and you’ll see that all of your eye makeup has come off! If the Micellar water gets in your eyes gently rinse your eyes out with some cool water.
- You can repeat this process if all the makeup hasn’t come off. From expierence all the eye makeup comes off in 1-2 tries!
- I know the bottle says it’s ok to not rinse your face off after you’ve used it but not rinsing can risk leaving oils, dirt, and bacteria on your skin. Rinse your face with some lukewarm water and you can follow with using your normal cleanser. This is what I do just to really ensure all the makeup and dirt is off my skin!
- Boom! All the makeup is off, it’s really that easy!
Price: Under $10: I love how cheap micellar water is 3 months later after using it frequently it’s not even halfway done!
