Blush we all have it and love it, but did you know there are actually specific shades that can extremely compliment your skin? This complete guide goes over everything to determine which blush is best for your skin tone!
Which blush is best for my skin tone?
It’s always important to look at your undertones before deciding which blush shade to choose. Looking for a natural shade? Go for one that compliments your undertone, vice versa if you’re going for a bold look at something that works with the opposite undertone of your skin.
Undertone guide
The first step is to look for your undertone, here’s how to determine which one is yours! How do I do that?! Look at your wrist veins, but in natural lighting, and read below to find which undertone you have.
Cool undertones normally consist of a mix of blue, pink, or red complexion. Those with cool undertones can look into peaches, browns, paler pink, and corals.
Warm undertones consist of the opposite, with yellow, golden, and peachier hues. Those with warm undertones can look into berries, corals, and pinks.
A neutral undertone means that your undertones look quite similar to your actual skin tone! Blush shades that complement neutral undertones are actually whatever they’d like! But also make sure to pick one that flatters your skin tone. (look down below to find that!)
Which blush is best for your skin tone
Always look at your skin tone, here’s how to determine which blush shade looks best with your skin tone:
Paler – light skin tones: Light pinks, corals, and peaches work super well because it nicely flatters your skin tone, without it being too overwhelming.
Light-medium skin: rich pinks, warmer mauves, and deep peaches shades work perfectly with lighter to medium skin tones.
Olive/Golden skin tone: Pinks, warm apricots, and warmer peaches, tend to look great.
Darker – Deep skin tones: There is quite a variety that will look stunning on darker skin tones such as warm peaches, deep purples, oranges, pinks, and fuchsias.
