What Shade Looks Good On Me?
This is where it can get tricky and it’s important to know what matches your skin tone before purchasing anything. Once you know, you can really pop and bring out certain features. Lip Liner?!
Before applying any lipstick it’s important to line your lips. Lining your lips allows them to look fuller, plumper, and gives another dimension to your lips. The shade you use to line your lips matters too, make sure to always use a lip liner about 2-3 shades darker than the lipstick that you’re using. NYX lipliners are my favorite. A long-lasting, creamy, and pigmented formula that glides right on!

Let’s go over the steps to applying lip liner for best results…
- First, apply chapstick before applying lip liner. This allows the lipliner to seamlessly glide onto your lips.
- Then with your lipliner follow the edges of your lips. On the upper lip draw an M, along your lip line. Make sure to take your time, and don’t overline!Â
- After on the bottom lip start by slowly drawing a line in the middle of your lips and work it to the sides of your lips.Â
- Done! If you find there’s an imperfection and would like to fix it, use a cutip to clean it up.Â
Now, it’s time for lipstick!
You’ve got the difficult part out of the way, follow the steps below to finish off the look.
- Start by smiling, this allows for even application. Glide the lipstick over your lips until it looks even.
- If you find you want a natural appearance blot the lipstick and apply gloss on top of it.
