I can’t believe it’s already been a year of the Beginners Guide To Makeup! I thought instead of my usual blog post, I’d dedicate this one to giving you a glimpse of what this past year has brought for Beginners Guide To Makeup. Let’s get into it!
Why I Started This Blog!
I started this blog to help beginners learn everything about makeup, and I’m incredibly grateful I’ve been able to do that for thousands and thousands of people! Honestly, it’s crazy for me to think about. The outpour of love has been amazing, and I’m incredibly thankful for every single one of my readers.

If you were to tell me a year ago that I’d host multiple shows with Pinterest TV I’d laugh! Never would I have thought I’d be where I am today. I remember hosting my very first show back in March “Prom Makeup 101” and it was incredibly nerve-wracking for me to go up in front of thousands of people to do my makeup!
You Can Do It Too ✨
I wanted to dedicate a section to saying you can do it too, and accomplish your dreams. No matter how young or old you are it’s possible. Sure, people are a little shocked to discover my age, but I’ve been able to do all this barely being 17. Don’t let your age get in the way of what you want, go after it!
Trial and error are inevitable, before this blog I had another for a year and a half. That got nowhere as close to this one. It takes time to learn and nurture your skills. I’ll be honest, if I didn’t have that blog this one would be not as popular as it’s gotten to be!
I remember being heartbroken about having to restart, but I knew it was what was best and it worked out. Sometimes all you need is a fresh start, and with that implement all the knowledge you learned from previous projects into the next.
I like to tell myself good things take time, and with something like a blog that’s 100% true. If I was able to accomplish this in a year, you can too💗
