This is brief but gives an idea of how the eyeshadow will turn out. The written tutorial is much more descriptive in the steps.
WRITTEN TUTORIAL
BASE: To achieve a bright and even eyeshadow look, use an eyeshadow base. The base has a thicker consistency and provides a way to get a pigmented finish. Use a flat compact brush (as shown in the photo above) to apply the base all over your eyelid, but don’t bring it above your eyelid. Leave it on your eyelid and let it dry for 30 seconds before applying any eyeshadow.
Personally, I love the Elf Cosmetics White Cream Eyeshadow. It comes in a pot, and a little goes a long way. You can read our complete review of it here!
FIRST SHADE: Now weβre moving on to the fun part – eyeshadow! Weβll start with a bright pink shade for easy blending and to lay out the look. Take a fluffy eyeshadow brush and pick up the shade Lovecraft. Apply it back and forth from the beginning to the center of your eye. Avoid bringing it past the center of your eye, and keep blending. You may need to apply 2-3 layers to achieve the desired pigment.
LET’S ADD THAT PIGMENT: Now weβre going to use a dark shade. This adds a dramatic pop and will look perfect, especially with the whole Barbie theme. Grab the shade Atelier with a stiffer brush to pick up and efficiently distribute the eyeshadow. Apply it from the center to the end of your eye. Keep blending! Move the brush back and forth, Youβll have to apply the eyeshadow and only once most likely. Itβs super pigmented and like the base, a little goes a long way.
CURL LASHES + MASCARA: We’re not done with the look yet, but to finish it up, we need to curl our lashes and apply mascara. If you like wearing false lashes, you can add those as well.
INNER CORNER: Now to add a little pop to your inner corners add some sparkly gold eyeshadow. To achieve this use the shade Bestist from the Colourpop Super Shock Eyeshadows.
There you have it, a stunning yet easy Barbie eyeshadow look! Itβs perfect to wear to the movie theater or just for a fun and vibrant eyeshadow look! π Thank you for reading, and be sure to subscribe to the Beginners Guide To Makeup to stay up to date with the latest tips for makeup beginners.
