I finally got my hands on the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation and immediately wanted to write a blog post about it. In this blog post, you’ll learn EVERYTHING need to know about this fabulous foundation!
Why I purchased this?
Ever since I first tried FENTY’s products I instantly fell in love with them! I was in Sephora and the foundation caught my eye so I decided to get it.
While I was there I got shade matched and to my surprise, it was a perfect match. One thing that I was incredibly impressed to see was the shade range as I’d heard a lot about it.
Shade Range + What’s Listed On FENTY’S Site About This Foundation
One thing most brands can’t say is how inclusive they are with shades. Between foundation and concealer, there’s a shade for you! Even if you have very pale skin or dark skin there’s a shade for you.
Here’s what’s listed on Fenty’s site about this foundation:
- 50 shades
- Noncomedogenic which means it will not clog or block your pores.
- Longwear, matte, shine-free finish
- The formula absorbs oil immediately
Main Concerns?
My main concern was how the foundation would react to my dry skin. Other foundations I’ve used in the past would clump, flake, get patchy, and wouldn’t mix well with my other makeup. As we all know, it sucks to get patchy makeup! This was definitely my main concern.
The second thing I was looking out for was how the formula felt on my skin. I hate when foundations feel heavy and like my skin can’t breathe!
First Impressions
- The packaging: One thing I love about FENTY is the sleek packaging! The bottle and cap are sturdy and should be ok if thrown around in a makeup bag or something similar.
- The finish: For $40 I was hoping the finish would be excellent, and I’m happy to share it was! Two pumps go a long way and covers my whole face.
- The formula is fantastic and loops back to one of my main concerns! It’s lightweight, provides all the coverage needed, and can be layered up. Even with a full face of makeup, everything looked smooth and my skin felt comfortable.

Wear Test
This really lives up to the name! I did a wear test, and it looked SO good. I had no touchups for 10 hours, and it was still incredible at the end of the day.

Should I buy it?!
YES! I’ll say this again and again, try this foundation out. You won’t regret it. If anything you’ll be impressed with how much coverage it gives with how little you use!
This should last about 6 months – 1 year if you only use a pump daily. If you are able to, I’d recommend going in-store to shade match. The large range may make it difficult to choose the correct shade.
