Written Tutorial
Skin Prep
To start off on the right foot for this look, make sure you’ve properly prepped your skin. Here’s the guide to doing so if you don’t know how to!
If you need a refresher, skin prep includes:
- Wash face
- Moisturizer
- SPF
- Primer
Base
Apply your base as you normally would, and stop before applying your concealer! Also, if you don’t want to use a base you don’t have to. You’ll see in the video that I only use this as my base.
Concealer time!
Apply your concealer in the following areas: The photo above shows too.
- Inner corner below your eye
- A line connecting up to your temples, by your hair.
- Any blemishes/spots you want to cover
- Chin
- Forehead
- Nose
I know it doesn’t look like a lot, but it’s going to look soo bright after the following steps!
Where the magic happens✨
Now, you’re going to achieve that super-bright finish! Grab the flat concealer brush and spread and blend with the brush slowly. It’s ok if you find there’s a patchy or streaky finish, you’ll learn how to get rid of that.
It’s going to look a bit crazy, and bright at first! Trust the process!
Beauty blender
Keep blending until everything is pretty much evenly spread out, I like to use a beauty blender when I’m around 75% blended. Next, grab a damp beauty blender and gently blend the rest out. You’ll start to notice that you’re already getting a bright undereye!
Learn more about damp beauty blenders here.
Continue with the rest of your makeup routine and come back when you’re ready for powder!
Powder time!!
Ready for powder? Grab the elf HD powder and a medium-sized brush. The reason why I’m choosing a translucent setting powder is because of the fact that it’s going to give you a super bright appearance.
Dip the brush in the pan, and instead of dragging it everywhere, slowly pat the powder onto your under eyes. I’ve found this is the best way to get the best, clean base when doing your makeup too.
Continue patting the powder, until you’re happy with your results!
I hope you found that helpful, I’ve found this method super quick, and has really helped me with achieving bright under eyes! Thank you for reading, check out The Basics for more makeup beginner content!
