What is liquid highlighter?
Great question, let’s start with the basics of what highlighter is. Highlighter is a product that gives your face a glowing finish. It’s a shimmery product that is applied to the face. It comes in both liquid and powder forms but it’s most commonly used in powder form. Highlighter is very easy to use and gives your skin a bright and rejuvenated glow as no other product can!

Which liquid highlighter is the best?
Personally, I really love the Carter Beauty Liquid Illuminator! I find that super glittery and bright highlighters don’t look well on me. I found this one on amazon and I absolutely love it! I’d describe the finish as a glow from within. It’s not glittery and looks more like a glow rather than a bright glittery shine. The photo above is from the Carter Beauty Liquid Illuminator!
Generally with liquid highlighter, a little goes a long way, you don’t need a lot in order to do your whole face!
How Do I Apply Liquid Highlighter?
Now that you know what liquid highlighter is, here is how to use it!
- Grab some of your liquid highlighter and apply some to the back of your hand. Liquid highlighter is normally super pigmented so we’re first applying it on our hand! I’d recommend using clean fingers to blend in the highlighter. I’ve found that personally using a brush looks weird.
- With clean fingers apply some right above your blush. And gently pat in with your fingers. Then do the other side of your face.
- For your nose apply a small amount of the highlighter, applying too much is going to make your nose look oily.
- Follow with a small amount on your cupid’s bow, chin, and browbone. Keep in mind to keep gently patting your skin while blending.
- That’s it you’re done! Need more help? Refer to the video below!
