What even is this eyeshadow hack??
I was wondering the same thing when I first heard about it lol! It’s basically a hack to get a cut crease without having to lay a base, and skipping all the other steps. Think of it as a shortcut to a cut crease! The idea of it is to use an eyelash curler to achieve this, I know it sounds pretty weird so let’s see if it works!
Materials
- Eyelash curler
- Fluffy eyeshadow brush
- Eyeshadow! (Choose whatever you’d like, I’m using bronzer and golden highlighter!)
Let’s try it!
I always love writing these types of blog posts, because it’s my first time trying it too! I have a video below these steps, for more guidance. Start by having your color correcting/base ready so that you can start with this eyeshadow look. look!
1.Grab your eyeshadow, I recommend first trying this out with bronzer so you can really tell where the eyeshadow should go. You’ll see that’s what I did in the video too!
2. Start by placing the eyelash curler over your closed eyelid. Make sure that it lines up with your eyelid, so you don’t accidentally apply it incorrectly.
3. Grab your eyeshadow brush and start moving the brush back and forth along the eyelash curler. Continue doing this till you’re satisfied with the amount of pigment you see.
4. Take the eyelash curler off of your eye, and you should notice a cut crease shape on your eyelid. You may have to clean it up a bit, that’s what I did!
5. The next step is to get the side of the eyelash curler and angle it against your eye to create a liner-type shape. With the same brush grab some of your eyeshadow and drag it against the eyelash curler.
6. Remove the eyelash curler, and this time clean up with a napkin!
7. Now we are moving on to the actual lid! If you chose bronzer to apply then, I’d recommend a gold highlighter on your lid.
8. Once you’ve applied the highlighter on the rest of the lid, curl your lashes and apply mascara!
Here is my finished result!!

So, is this worth it?
I’d say yes!! Personally, I struggle with applying eyeshadow correctly, so this is something I will be using all the time when I want a pretty eyeshadow look without the struggle of it having to take an hour! If you’re a beginner to eyeshadow, this is a great way to start off!
The only con is having to clean it up, but that doesn’t bother me because of how good the results are.
